Have your say on what matters to you
02 December 2014
Upper Hunter residents are invited to an informal meeting with the Board and staff of Hunter Local Land Services (LLS) on the evening of Wednesday, 10 December in Scone.
As part of an ongoing commitment to meet the needs of local communities, the casual event is designed to give attendees the chance to discuss the service delivery priorities and opportunities the new organisation can offer.
LLS Chair, Susan Hooke, will be at the event and looks forward to meeting a diverse range of community members.
'We're interested in talking with local landholders and residents of the Upper Hunter community to see what matters to them.'
'A short presentation on the current priorities of Hunter LLS will also be delivered,' explained Susan.
'Our organisation delivers agricultural, biosecurity, natural resource management and emergency management services to the community, and to do this fairly and effectively we need feedback and direction from everyone.'
Susan will be joined by representatives from the board and staff members from the LLS Upper Hunter service delivery team.
Earlier on the same day, the newly formed Upper Hunter Community Advisory Group will meet for the first time.
'While this formal group will provide us with important advice and guidance on LLS priorities, we regard informal feedback from the community just as valuable,' said Susan.
The informal meeting will take place between 5.15 - 6.30 pm at Scone TAFE Campus, 2 Flemington Drive, Scone. Light refreshments will be served.
