The Hunter Local Land Services (LLS) region extends from Greater Taree City Council in the north to Lake Macquarie City Council in the south, Upper Hunter Shire Council in the west to the Great Lakes Council in the east.
Agricultural production in the region includes milk and dairy, poultry and eggs as well as grazing of cattle, sheep, alpacas and goats.
Thoroughbred horse breeding is also a strong agricultural activity in the area.
Production of dryland and irrigated broadacre crops and fodder are key to the region, in addition to the strong viticulture industry.
Hunter LLS works with landholders to build a healthy, productive and resiliant landscape.
Hunter LLS delivers local land services to landholders in the local government areas of Cessnock, Dungog, Gloucester, Great Lakes, Greater Taree, Lake Macquarie, Maitland, Muswellbrook, Newcastle, Port Stephens, Singleton and the Upper Hunter.
